Why does mine sometimes go off in night and sometimes does not when I get a call? But during the day it always works

I’m curious to know if this guy or any on the dept leave this county at all , are they connected to the rest of the world ? This type of stuff has been around for years before you built the apparatus . Engine tanker terminology has been around for the35+ yrs I know of if not longer .

As a junior volunteer firefighter sometimes ill be sleeping at night and when the pager goes off i jump out of bed lol

Answered my first call as a volunteer firefighter today. I never knew what a surreal experience it was until now. I'm still fighting off the adrenaline.

When I got my pager, I got it straight out of the box so it came with a backup battery. I always keep a battery on the charger and just swap it out when the low battery alert goes off. And for overnight, I keep it right by my bedside. Pager lasts for about 3 days on a full charge.

What does it mean when the light is orange beside pager on the desktop charger?

I have this same pager. Takes less then an hour to fuller charge and lasts 4-6 days

I am a junior firefighter at my local department. Whenever I hear the fateful sound from my pager my heart skips a beat.

Me and my mom we’re driving home from Walmart and the tornado went over the road in front of us we drove fast and went home into shelter

My monitor 4 pager has triple a batteries and it lasts at least a month on a full battery

Is the same minitor iv pagers as well?

How can I program it by myself without having somebody do it for me

Not bad but putting your pack’s waist strap before the seat belt will make it easier. Also not a big fan of putting on your mask for an extended period of time before going on air - mine fogs up.

Erm... you pull on the trousers and boots in the station then put on the snood, jacket and helmet while on the way.

This is quite different to what we do in the uk. We don’t our trouser first before we climb into the fire engine, then once in the cab of the fire engine we don our helmets to protect our heads in case of rtc/Mva and then the jacket and gloves

Thanks for the detailed vid. I was issued the IV last week with only brief instructions. Nothing about the modes, reset button, how the charger works, or even the pager coverage area. Mostly learned from internet searches and videos. Thanks

Anyone can listen to radio traffic.

You find out what channel your area uses and buy radio chrystals for that frequency and take minitor apart and add chrystals and your good to go.
